Attendance and lateness management

Teachers take the register from their space, the school records justifications and the report card shows the hours.

A lost attendance sheet, absences copied out at the end of term, a total that is hard to check: paper attendance tracking takes time and lets errors through. Zaame builds attendance management into its school management software, from the classroom register to the report card.

A roll call at every lesson

Teachers take the register from their space, on a computer, tablet or phone, for the classes assigned to them only. Each student is marked present, absent or late. A student who has not been marked is counted nowhere: a missed roll call does not turn into an absence.

A history per student and per class

The school has a dedicated screen bringing together absences and lateness. Absences are counted in hours, based on the length of the lesson, and lateness as a number of occurrences.

  • History of absences and lateness
  • Hours for absences, number of occurrences for lateness
  • Tracking available to parents in their space

Centralised justifications

Justifying an absence is up to the school: the administrative team records the absence as excused and states the reason. The decision stays in one place, and you know who recorded it and when.

Hours carried over to the report card

If you turn on the option in the report card template, unexcused hours and lateness appear on it automatically. There is no need to recount at the end of the term: see grade and report card management.

Getting started

The register relies on lessons, so start by setting up your timetables, then ask your teachers to log in to their space.
