Discovering Zaame
🔹 1. What is Zaame?
Zaame is an online school management platform. It lets institutions manage students, teachers, parents and administrative staff, as well as classes, timetables, lessons, grades, report cards, payments and communication.
🔹 2. Who is Zaame for?
- schools and training centres, from pre-school to high school;
- school management, secretariats and administrative teams;
- teachers;
- students and their parents, each with their own secure space.
🔹 3. What can Zaame do?
- account management: students, teachers, parents, administrative team with permissions;
- school organization: academic years, cycles, classes, subjects, rooms, timetables;
- lessons: sessions, roll call and attendance history, online assignments, course materials, live classes with Google Meet;
- assessments and customizable report cards: calculation, scales and coefficients per level, automatic remarks, ranks, annual average, resits, PDFs and publication to families;
- finances: tuition fees, month-by-month tracking, financial reports and online payment (card, Mobile Money);
- communication: messaging, requests, events, notifications;
- Excel exports and document printing.
🔹 4. Does the platform work on mobile?
Yes. Zaame works on computers, tablets and phones. It can also be installed as an app from the browser.
Sign-up and accounts
🔹 5. How can an institution sign up?
On zaame.com, click “Sign up”, then enter:
- the name of the person in charge and of the institution;
- the country and city;
- the email address and phone number;
- the password of your choice.
Accept the terms, submit, then check your inbox (including the spam folder). Getting started is described step by step in the User Guide.
🔹 6. Can students or teachers create an account themselves?
Accounts for teachers, parents and administrative staff are created by the institution.
Students are added by the institution (form or Excel import), or sign up through the registration link the institution gives them. In that case, the request appears in “Pending registrations” and must be approved by the institution.
🔹 7. Where do I find my credentials? What if I forget my password?
The username and password are provided by the institution. For security reasons, Zaame does not keep passwords in plain text: the institution cannot “look them up”, but it can generate a new one from the user’s profile.
If you forget your password:
- if the account is linked to an email address, use “Forgot password” on the login page;
- otherwise, contact the institution, which will generate a new password.
🔹 8. Can users change their password?
Yes. Once logged in, each user can change their password in their Profile.
🔹 9. Can several institutions be managed with a single account?
No. Each institution has its own independent account. Managing several institutions from a single login is not available yet.
🔹 10. Can users be imported from a file?
Yes. Students, teachers and administrative staff can be imported from an Excel file (XLSX, ODS or CSV): click “Import” in the relevant tab and follow the on-screen instructions.
Grades and report cards
🔹 11. Can report cards be adapted to our institution?
Yes. In Report cards → Settings, each cycle (pre-school, primary, middle school, high school…) can have its own template: scale, average calculation, how assignments count, columns shown (assignment details, coefficients, ranks, teacher), automatic remarks, pass mark, annual average and resits. The same subject can be graded out of 10 in primary and out of 20 in high school.
🔹 12. Can students and parents see grades and report cards?
Yes. Everyone views assessments and assignments from their own space. Report cards appear in “My report cards” as soon as the institution publishes them; they can be downloaded as PDFs, and a notification is sent at each publication.
Payments and subscription
🔹 13. Can parents pay online?
Yes, if the institution has set up a payment provider (bank card or Mobile Money depending on the country) in Finances → Online Payment. Funds are paid directly into the institution’s account; Zaame takes no commission. Details are given in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
🔹 14. What happens if the subscription is not paid?
Access to premium features is suspended. Data is kept temporarily (6 months after the subscription expires, see the Privacy Policy).
🔹 15. Can an institution export its data?
Yes. Lists (students, teachers…) can be exported to Excel (XLSX, ODS or CSV) from the institution’s space, and report cards, transcripts and receipts can be printed as PDFs.
Security and support
🔹 16. Is the platform secure?
Yes:
- servers hosted in France (o2switch);
- encrypted connection (HTTPS);
- passwords stored in hashed form;
- two-factor authentication by email available;
- each institution’s data kept separate;
- compliance with the GDPR and Moroccan Law No. 09-08.
🔹 17. How can I learn to use Zaame?
- every page of the application shows an orientation guide suited to your role;
- the User Guide describes getting started step by step, for institutions, teachers, students and parents;
- explanatory videos are available from the guide.
🔹 18. Is support included?
Yes. As soon as an institution subscribes, email support is included at no extra cost and without a quote.
🔹 19. Can Zaame reflect the institution’s identity?
Yes. The institution’s name, logo, contact details, presentation and the head’s signature appear on documents and report cards. Report cards themselves are set cycle by cycle (question 11).
🔹 20. Where can I ask other questions?
